Life Support Training Institute (LSTI) is an affiliate of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Michigan Inc. Started in 1986, Life Support Training Institute is a CAAHEP accredited program and approved by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Emergency Preparedness, EMS, and Systems of Care. LSTI is also a Community Training Center (CTC) approved by the American Heart Association.

Yes. LSTI offers American Heart Association training courses in CPR / AED as well as Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses for Healthcare Providers. Please refer to our American Heart Association Classes page for more information.
As a graduate of a Life Support Training Institute EMS education course, you have the opportunity to benefit with a 100% job placement opportunity with Superior Ambulance Service.
Currently LSTI offers convenient and affordable payment plans to help with student tuition. Unfortunately we do not currently accept Federal financial aid (FAFSA).
Before you can enroll in an instructor course in the State of Michigan, you must have a valid license and a minimum of three years of experience in the field.
Our History
Life Support Training Institute was established in 1986 to meet the growing need for well-trained emergency medical service professionals. In 1992, LSTI was named a Community Training Center for the American Heart Association.
Today, LSTI offers classes for professionals including EMS training and certifications, AHA programs, community classes for adults and special community awareness programs.
At Life Support Training Institute we proudly serve and train veterans and their dependents for rewarding and fulfilling careers in the health care and health service industry.
LSTI is Approved to certify veterans and dependents for their educational benefits. LSTI is approved by the Michigan State Approving Agency to certify veterans and other eligible dependents for their veteran’s educational benefits for EMS initial education courses.
